Kevin wanted to be an attorney for as long as he can remember. Whether it was debating his bedtime or helping his brother negotiate for extra dessert, Kevin always advocated for positions he believed in. As Kevin grew up, those positions included social justice and fighting for the little guy. Now, he fights for injured victims.
Kevin was born and raised in Casper, Wyoming, where he learned the importance of hard work and looking out for your neighbors. Those values continue to define him today. Hard work is essential in any profession, but nowhere is it more important than the legal profession. Sometimes just having a lawyer that will go the extra mile or spend that extra hour focused on your case is what makes the difference in the outcome. Hard work, in turn, comes from passion. Kevin passionately believes that every injured victim deserves the opportunity to seek justice.
Kevin attended law school at the University of Colorado, serving as Vice President of his class. At CU Law, Kevin took every opportunity to get hands on litigation experience. He was active in the mock trial and moot court programs and won numerous tournaments throughout his law school career including the prestigious Carrigan Cup and Rothgerber Moot Court Competition. While still in law school, Kevin won his first “not guilty” verdict in a DUI trial. In another case, he successfully argued that the City of Boulder’s “Use of Fighting Words Statute” violated the First Amendment. The law was struck down, and the City changed the law a short time later.
Since law school, Kevin has served as Managing Partner for Cheney Galluzzi & Howard, LLC. He has represented hundreds of clients and tried over 25 cases to verdict. He has recovered tens of millions for injured clients and routinely beats the insurance companies final offer at trial. Additionally, Kevin regularly lectures on trial advocacy and is proud to serve as a mentor to numerous young lawyers.
Kevin is also active in his community. He is the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association Treasurer, and serves on its Board, Executive Committee, and Legislative Committee for the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association. He also serves on the Board of Governors for the Colorado Bar Association. He is also a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, a “invite only” group of the best trial advocates in the country. Kevin has won numerous awards, including the New Trial Lawyer of the Year award from CTLA.
When Kevin is not helping clients, he enjoys talking politics, playing poker, rooting for the Buffs, Nuggets, and Broncos, and listening to electronic music. He also loves cuddling his giant Newfoundland, Pancake, and spending time with his wife, Reena Ramanuj.
At CGH, Kevin continues to devote himself to helping others and to the passionate practice of law. When life happens to his clients, Kevin is there to help.
